Career Cooperation with Catcher Unchanged Despite Share Disposal

Taiwan flexible PCB (FPCB) maker Career Technology has said that its cooperative partnership with chassis maker Catcher Technology will remain unchanged despite the latter recently unloading its majority stakes in the former, and its production of antenna FPCBs for shipments to Apple is still ongoing, according to Digitimes.
Career made the statement in response to market speculations about Catcher’s unusual move of selling off 26 million Career shares on July 12, just four months after purchasing 29.6 million shares from the FPCB maker on March 15, 2018. Market sources cast doubts over whether their strategic alliance on shipments to Apple will be changed, Digitimes reports. Catcher has been a chassis supplier of iPhone devices, and Career is a major supplier of FPCBs for new iPhone models. When buying Career shares in mid-March, Catcher said then that the investment will help both companies turn out more-competitive products in their respective fields to better meet demand from Apple and other customers.
