Taiflex Lowers 2019 Revenue Guidance on Unclear Order Visibility

Taiwan-based Taiflex Scientific, a supplier of flexible copper-clad laminates (FCCL), has projected 2019 revenues to fall over 10% from 2018 due to unclear order visibility for the second half of the year, compared to flat revenue performance predicted early this year.

Taiflex's second-quarter revenues declined by 12.89% on year to NT$2.078 billion ($66.7 million), but it managed to score net earnings of NT$281 million, compared to losses in the first quarter. Its revenues for the first half of the year plunged 21.31% on year to NT$3.45 billion, with net earnings of NTY$274 million representing an annual rise of 7.52%.
