Anaya Vardya, president and CEO of American Standard Circuits, will now be offering a series of webinars on various aspects of printed circuit board technologies. The first in the series, which is being called Wednesday Webinars, will be based on American Standard Circuits’ new book Fundamentals of Printed Circuit Board Technologies and is called PCB101.

When making the announcement, Vardya said, “In the spirit of cooperation and partnership we feel that it is important to help our customers, and anyone else who has an interest in PCBs, to get a better understanding of the fundamentals of PCB technologies. These webinars are open to everyone who wants to learn more abut our technology. The first of these Wednesday Webinars will be based on the three books we have written and circulated for free. The books have been very popular with thousands of downloads already and we think the webinars will supplement those nicely.”

The first on PCB 101 will be presented on Wednesday, June 10 at 11:00 am (CDT).

An Excerpt From the Book ‘Thermal Management: A Fabricator’s Perspective’

09/07/2020 | Anaya Vardya, American Standard Circuits
Thermal management in the printed circuit board (PCB) world is big business! A recent Markets and Markets report projects the thermal management market to reach $16 billion by the year 2024 with an average CAGR of 8% over that period. We have chosen to focus this book on providing designers a thermal management desk reference on the most current thermal management techniques and methods from a PCB fabrication perspective, including a case study on an extreme mixed-technology design that we recently produced. We hope you find value in our efforts.

Simulation Technology in Acid Copper Pattern Plating

07/17/2020 | Pete Starkey, I-Connect007
PCB designers and CAM engineers may feel there is little they can do to achieve uniform finished copper thickness of PCB traces and holes. But in an illuminating discussion with Robrecht Belis, manager of surface finishing and e-coating with Elsyca NV in Belgium, Pete Starkey learned that nothing could be further from the truth, provided they act on time and use the right tools.
