Taiflex Posts 24.8% Revenue Growth in May

Taiflex Scientific Co. Ltd, a Taiwan-based manufacturer of flexible printed circuit materials such as flexible copper clad laminates (CCLs) and coverlays, has announced consolidated revenues of NT$753 million ($27.15 million at $1:NT$27.73) for May, up by 1% on month, and by 24.8% year-on-year (YoY).

Cumulative revenues for the first five months of the year reached NT$3.7 billion ($133.4 million), up by 25.6% compared with the same period last year. Revenues for the Electronics Materials segment reached a record-high $723 million ($26.07 million), up by 1.4% on-month, and by 22.7% YoY. For the first five months of the year, Taiflex’s EM business registered total sales of NT$3.58 billion ($129.1 million), up by 25% YoY.

This paper shows three different manufacturing approaches which can be used for very thin, any-layer build-ups. The technological approaches are compared on reliability level--the any-layer copper filled microvia technology which is to be considered state-of-the-art for high-end phones and the ALIVH-C/G technology well established in Japan.
